Compact, Smart, Affordable: Niuera Energy Introduces Its Electric Motorcycle Charging Station Line

The Launch Is Done. Here's What We Built.

Last week, at the 139th China Import and Export Fair(Canton Fair, Phase 1, April 15–19) in Guangzhou, Niuera Energy formally introduced its electric motorcycle and low-voltage vehicle fastcharging station line to the global market.

For those who weren't in Guangzhou, this article is the full briefing: what we launched, why we built it, and which product is designed for which operator.

The short version: five product lines covering every major charging scenario for electric two- and three-wheelers—from street-side kiosk deployments in Southeast Asia to off-grid solar charging in rural Africa, from portable home chargers to large-scale distributed depot charging. All built on the same low-voltage charging technology platform Niuera has been developing since 2016, now packaged for the operators and markets where electric two-wheeler adoption is moving fastest.

    Why This Market, Why Now

The global electric two-wheeler sector is in active, rapid transition, and the charging infrastructure hasn't kept pace with the vehicles.

More than 80 million electric two-wheelers are currently in operation worldwide, representing 8.8% of the total two-wheeler fleet added over the past decade.[^1] In the markets where Niuera's new products are designed to operate, momentum is accelerating sharply: Vietnam's electric two-wheeler sales share reached 21.7% through early 2025, up from roughly 10% in 2024, driven in part by announced low-emission zone policies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. India sold 1.3 million electric two-wheelers in 2024 across a market with 220 active OEMs. Kenya's electric two-wheeler adoption rate nearly tripled between 2023 and the first ten months of 2025—from 3.6% to close to 15%—supported by a government VAT exemption on electric two-wheelers.[^2][^3]

The charging infrastructure serving this growth, however, has largely been borrowed from the passenger car sector: oversized in power output, oversized in physical footprint, and oversized in cost. Standard commercial car chargers carry price and complexity levels that simply don't match the business economics of distributed, community-scale two-wheeler charging—where operators are often small entrepreneurs, session revenues are measured in fractions of a dollar, and reliable field performance matters more than feature richness.

Niuera's electric motorcycle charging station line was designed from the ground up around these realities. The product range that launched at Canton Fair covers five distinct use cases, from single street-side outlets to large depot systems. Here is what each one consists of.

The Product Line: Five Solutions Across the Full Deployment Spectrum

    1. Single Phase E-Motorcycle Fast Charging Station — 3.6 kW / 7.2 kW

    Models: G1K-36-S/T6 (single gun, 3.6 kW) · G1K-72-D/T6 (dual gun, 7.2 kW)

This is the entry-level public charging station, designed for the most common emerging market deployment scenario: community parking lots, street-side kiosks, small commercial charging points, and delivery station power replenishment.

The cabinet-style enclosure is built for outdoor durability—resistant to high temperature, humidity, dust, and salt spray—and supports both column and wall mounting without complex installation modifications. A color touchscreen with multi-language support and multiple payment options (QR code scanning, RFID card, and password) means it's usable by riders across language backgrounds without staff assistance.

The G1K-36-S/T6 delivers 3.6 kW through a single Type 6 gun (compatible with mainstream adapters including Type 2 and T-type), with an output voltage range of 30–120V DC adjustable, covering the full range of 1.5–8 kWh battery packs used in electric motorcycles and scooters on the market. A standard 72V 50Ah electric motorcycle battery a standard 72V 50Ah battery can be recharged in 10–15 minutes at this power level.

The G1K-72-D/T6 dual-gun version doubles throughput on the same physical footprint. A notable engineering feature: when only one gun is in use, the station's full power capacity transfers to that outlet—enabling faster single-vehicle charging during low-traffic periods. Both guns operate independently with separate outputs at simultaneous use.

    What These Products Share

Across five very different use cases, the product line reflects a set of consistent engineering priorities:

Wide input voltage tolerance. The single-phase stations accept 90–265 VAC—a range that accommodates the grid instability common in peri-urban and rural areas across Southeast Asia and Africa, without requiring external voltage conditioning hardware. The three-phase stations accept 320–480 VAC, covering the range of three-phase supply quality encountered in target markets.

OCPP 1.6J as standard. All public charging stations support OCPP 1.6J for remote monitoring, session management, and network integration—the established open protocol for charging station management. This allows operators to integrate Niuera hardware into existing network management platforms without proprietary lock-in.

Multi-method payment, multi-language interface. QR code scanning, RFID card, and password payment are supported across the public station line, alongside multi-language touchscreen interfaces. In markets where mobile payment penetration exceeds card penetration, QR-code-first payment is not a feature add—it's the default transaction method.

IP55 protection as the standard baseline for public stations. Both the single-phase and three-phase public stations carry IP55 ratings, providing full dust protection and water jet resistance—adequate for the outdoor conditions typical of Southeast Asian and East African deployment environments.

Comprehensive electrical protection. Input/output over- and under-voltage, overcurrent, short circuit, reverse connection, lightning, over-temperature, leakage, and door-open power-off protection are built into all public station models. This protection suite is designed for field deployment by operators who are not electricians and cannot be expected to diagnose electrical faults.

Type 6 connector with adapter compatibility. The Type 6 interface supports mainstream fast charging adapters including Type 2 and T-type plugs. In Southeast Asian markets where connector standardization has not yet converged, corresponding interface versions can be deployed to match local vehicle populations.

    Who This Is For

The five-product lineup maps to a range of operators and deployment contexts across Niuera's target markets.

Independent charging entrepreneurs in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and similar markets starting with 1–4 stations at a community location. The G1K-36-S/T6 or G1K-72-D/T6 provides the entry point: single-phase input, compact cabinet footprint, multi-payment ready, and the throughput economics to serve commuter and delivery riders at a street-side location.

Fleet operators and delivery platforms managing electric two-wheeler or three-wheeler fleets. The L2K-66-S/T6 and L2K-132-D/T6 address the operational requirement of faster per-session throughput—the 6–10 minute charge time for a 72V 50Ah battery from 20% to 80% SOC is a meaningful reduction in rider downtime during active shift hours.

Battery swapping network operators integrating fixed charging with swap infrastructure. The L2K-132-D/T6's ability to supply a battery swapping cabinet from its idle gun makes it a practical single-unit solution for operators running both charging and swapping services at the same location.

Off-grid and rural Africa deployments where reliable grid access is unavailable. The FGC-48/R4 and FGC-72/R4 are designed for exactly this scenario: a fully self-contained PV charging solution that requires no grid connection, no electricity cost, and no professional maintenance—just regular cleaning.

Large-scale fleet and production facilities requiring centralized, high-utilization charging infrastructure. The Q1K/Q2K/Q3K Distributed Charging Pile series serves logistics parks, electric motorcycle production bases, battery swapping station backends, and any scenario where simultaneous charging of 4–10 vehicles is the baseline requirement.
